While some members of Beacon have devoted their entire careers to public affairs, others have had highly successful positions in the private sector as marketing directors, brand and project managers, and media producers.
This depth and breadth of experience contributes to the company’s business-like approach to strategic development and operational efficiency. In Beacon’s view, a candidate’s character and platform is akin to a business’ product, and (with a few notable exceptions) a campaign for elected office is analogous to a business’ product launch. Ultimately, a product succeeds or fails in a market, and a candidate wins or loses in an election. But the outcome is largely determined by the developments in the one to two years beforehand and that is where Beacon excels.
